Simple Puranpoli Recipe (English)

πŸ”Ά For the Puran (Sweet Filling):
  • Chana dal English Simpal Recipes (split Bengal gram) – 1 cup

  • Jaggery – 1 cup (adjust to taste)

  • Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Nutmeg powder – a pinch

  • Water – as needed

  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup

  • Oil or ghee – 1 tablespoon

  • A pinch of salt

  • Water – for kneading


πŸ‘©‍🍳 How to Make Puranpoli (Step-by-Step):

1️⃣ Prepare the Puran (filling):

  1. Rinse and soak chana dal for 30 minutes.

  2. Pressure cook with 2 cups of water until soft (about 2–3 whistles).

  3. Drain the water (you can save it for katachi amti).

  4. Mash the cooked dal and mix it in a pan with grated jaggery.
