Simple Puranpoli Recipe (English)
π Ingredients:
πΆ For the Puran (Sweet Filling):
- 
Chana dal English Simpal Recipes (split Bengal gram) – 1 cup 
- 
Jaggery – 1 cup (adjust to taste) 
- 
Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon 
- 
Nutmeg powder – a pinch 
- 
Water – as needed 
π· For the Dough:
- 
Whole wheat flour – 1 cup 
- 
Oil or ghee – 1 tablespoon 
- 
A pinch of salt 
- 
Water – for kneading 
π©π³ How to Make Puranpoli (Step-by-Step):
1️⃣ Prepare the Puran (filling):
- 
Rinse and soak chana dal for 30 minutes. 
- 
Pressure cook with 2 cups of water until soft (about 2–3 whistles). 
- 
Drain the water (you can save it for katachi amti). 
- 
Mash the cooked dal and mix it in a pan with grated jaggery. 
-

Add cardamom and nutmeg powder. Let it cool. 
(Optional: Blend in a mixer if you want a smoother filling.)
