🌿 Simple Veg Biryani Recipe

🍽️ Serves: 3–4
🧾 Ingredients:
For Rice:

Basmati rice – 1.5 cups
-
Water – 4 cups
-
Salt – 1 tsp
-
Bay leaf – 1
-
Cloves – 2
-
Cardamom – 2
-
Cinnamon stick – 1 small
For Veggies:
-
Mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas, potato) – 1.5 cups (chopped)
-
Onion – 1 large (thinly sliced)
-
Tomato – 1 (chopped)
-
Green chili – 1 (slit)
-
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
-
Curd (plain yogurt) – ¼ cup
-
Mint leaves – a handful
-
Coriander leaves – a handful (chopped)
Spices:
-
Turmeric – ¼ tsp
-
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
-
Biryani masala or garam masala – 1 tsp
-
Salt – to taste
Other:
-
Ghee or oil – 2 tbsp
👩🍳 Method:
1. Cook the Rice:
-
Rinse and soak English Simpal Recipes basmati rice for 20 minutes.

Boil water with whole spices and salt.
-
Add rice and cook till 90% done. Drain and keep aside.
2. Prepare the Veg Masala:

Heat oil or ghee in a pan.
-
Add sliced onions and sauté until golden.

Add green chili and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for a minute.

Add chopped Hindi Simpal Recipes tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, biryani masala, and salt. Cook till tomatoes are soft.

Add chopped veggies and cook for 5–7 minutes.

Mix in curd, mint, and coriander. Cook until oil separates.
3. Layering:

In a pot, add a layer of veggie masala, then a layer of rice. Repeat if needed.

Top with some mint, coriander, and a few drops of ghee.
4. Dum Cooking (Steaming):
-
Cover tightly. Place on low flame for 10–15 minutes or until aroma comes out.
✅ Tips:

Use aged basmati rice for best results.

You can add Marathi Simpale Recipes saffron milk or fried onions on top for richer flavor.

Serve hot with raita or salad.
