English Simpal Recipes |
Ingredients:

1/4 cup rice (Basmati rice is ideal)

4 cups milk
-
1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
-
10-12 cashews (chopped)
-
10-12 almonds (chopped)
-
10-12 pistachios (chopped)
-
1 teaspoon ghee (optional, for flavor)
Instructions:

Soak the Rice:
Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about 15-20 minutes. -
Boil the Milk:
In a heavy-bottomed pan, add 4 cups of milk and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom. -
Add the Rice:
Once the milk English Simpal Recipes starts boiling, add the soaked rice to the milk. Reduce the heat to low and let the rice cook in the milk. Stir occasionally and cook for about 15-20 minutes, until the rice is soft and the milk thickens. -
Add Sugar:
When the rice is cooked and the milk has reduced to a creamy consistency, add sugar. Stir well and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the sugar is fully dissolved and the kheer has thickened to your liking. -
Add Cardamom & Nuts:
Add cardamom powder to the kheer for a fragrant flavor. Also, add the chopped cashews, almonds, and pistachios (you can reserve some Hindi Simpal Recipes nuts for garnishing). If you like, you can also add 1 teaspoon of ghee to enhance the flavor. -
Simmer:
Let the kheer simmer for another 5-10 minutes so all the flavors blend well together. If the kheer becomes too thick, you can add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency. -
Serve:
Kheer can be served either warm or chilled. Garnish with extra chopped nuts if desired.
Tips:

If you prefer a sweeter kheer, feel free to increase the amount of sugar.

To make it richer, you can substitute full-fat milk or add some condensed milk.
