English Simpal Recipes

🍲 Jackfruit Biryani – Easy Recipe

📝 Ingredients (for 3–4 servings):

For Jackfruit:
  • Raw jackfruit – 250 grams Hindi Simpal Recipes (cleaned and cut into small cubes)

  • Turmeric – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Water – for boiling

For Rice:
  • Basmati rice – 1 cup (soaked for 30 minutes)

  • Water – 2 cups

  • Salt – to taste

  • 1 tsp oil or ghee

For Masala:
  • Onion – 2 medium (thinly sliced)

  • Tomato – 1 medium (chopped)

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp

  • Green chilies – 2 (sliced)

  • Curd/Yogurt – ½ cup

  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric – ½ tsp

  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp

  • Garam masala – 1 tsp

  • Fresh coriander and mint leaves – chopped

Whole Spices:
  • Bay leaf – 1

  • Cloves – 3

  • Cinnamon – 1 small stick

  • Green cardamom – 2

  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

Oil/Ghee – 3 tbsp

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Boil the Jackfruit

  • Boil jackfruit pieces English Simpal Recipes with turmeric and salt until they’re about 80% cooked (about 7–10 mins).

  • Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Rice

  • In another pot, boil water with salt and a little oil.

  • Add soaked rice and cook until 90% done.

  • Drain the water and keep rice aside.

Step 3: Make the Masala

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add whole spices (bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin).

  • Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

  • Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for a minute.

  • Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, and salt. Cook till soft.

  • Add yogurt and mix well.

  • Add boiled jackfruit and cook for 5–7 minutes till masala is absorbed.

  • Sprinkle some garam masala, mint, and coriander.

Step 4: Layer the Biryani

  • In a deep pot, add Marathi Simpale Recipes a layer of rice, then a layer of jackfruit masala. Repeat the layers.

  • Top with chopped mint, coriander, a little ghee, and fried onions (optional).

  • Cover tightly and cook on low flame ("dum") for 10 minutes.


🍽️ Serving Suggestion:

Serve hot with raita, salad, or pickle on the side. Tastes even better with fried onions on top!
