Lemon Rice English Simpal Recipes

 

English Simpal Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked English Simpal Recipes rice (preferably cooled)
  • 1 lemon (juice extracted)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal (black gram)
  • 1 teaspoon chana dal (split Bengal gram)
  • 2 green chilies (sliced)
  • 1-2 dried red chilies
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnishing)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rice:

    • Cook 2 cups of rice and allow it to cool. Leftover rice works well for this recipe as it is less sticky.
  2. Tempering:

    • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
    • Add 1 teaspoon Hindi Simpal Recipes of mustard seeds and let them splutter.
    • Add 1 teaspoon of urad dal and 1 teaspoon of chana dal. Fry until they turn golden brown.
    • Add sliced green chilies, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add Spices:

    • Add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, a pinch of asafoetida, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  4. Add Rice:

    • Add the cooled, cooked rice to the pan. Mix gently to coat the rice with the tempering and spices without breaking the rice grains.
  5. Lemon Juice:

    • Pour the juice of 1 Marathi Simpale Recipes lemon over the rice and mix well to combine. Adjust the lemon juice according to your taste preference.
  6. Peanuts and Garnish:

    • Add 1/4 cup of roasted peanuts and mix gently.
    • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve the lemon rice hot or at room temperature with raita, pickle, or papad.
