- 500 grams boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Orange Sauce:
- 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- Zest of 1 orange
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (cornstarch slurry)

Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
- In a bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly with the cornstarch mixture.
Fry the Chicken:
- Heat oil in a frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Fry the chicken pieces in batches until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Make the Orange Sauce:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the mixture into the same pan or wok used to fry the chicken.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat.
Thicken the Sauce:
- Once the sauce is simmering, add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water) to the pan.
- Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Combine Chicken and Sauce:
- Add the fried chicken pieces back into the pan with the thickened orange sauce.
- Toss the chicken until it is well coated with the sauce.
- Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes to heat the chicken through.
Serve:
- Transfer the Orange Chicken to a serving dish.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
