English Simpal Recipes |
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes, peeled and diced
- 500g ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef English Simpal Recipes or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 50g butter
- Grated cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Potatoes:
- Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
Cook the Meat Filling:
- In a large Hindi Simpal Recipes skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef or lamb to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the diced carrots and cook for 5 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef or vegetable broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble the Cottage Pie:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Spread the Marathi Simpale Recipes cooked meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.
- Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture and spread evenly with a fork.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the mashed potatoes for added flavor.
Bake the Cottage Pie:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
