 English Simpal Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 500g ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef English Simpal Recipes or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 50g butter
  • Grated cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Meat Filling:

    • In a large Hindi Simpal Recipes skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
    • Add the ground beef or lamb to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through.
    • Stir in the diced carrots and cook for 5 minutes until slightly softened.
    • Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef or vegetable broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
    • Cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Cottage Pie:

    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
    • Spread the Marathi Simpale Recipes cooked meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.
    • Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture and spread evenly with a fork.
    • Optional: Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the mashed potatoes for added flavor.
  4. Bake the Cottage Pie:

    • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  5. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
