English Simpal Recipes |
Ingredients:
- 500 grams mutton English Simpal Recipe swith bones (preferably lamb)
- 2 cups basmati rice, washed and soaked for 30 minutes
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons biryani masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- 4 cups water
- Saffron strands soaked in warm milk (optional)
- Fried onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat ghee or Hindi Simpal Recipes oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. Remove half of the fried onions and set aside for garnish.
- Add ginger-garlic paste to the remaining onions in the pan and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Add mutton pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add yogurt, biryani masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, slit green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, and chopped mint leaves. Mix well to coat the mutton pieces with the spices.
- Add water to the pan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let the mutton cook until tender and the gravy thickens. This may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the meat.
- Meanwhile, boil water in a separate pot and cook the soaked basmati rice until it is 70% cooked. Drain the rice and set aside.
- Once the mutton Marathi Simpale Recipes is cooked, layer the partially cooked rice evenly over the mutton gravy in the pan.
- Sprinkle saffron-infused milk (if using) over the rice. Cover the pan tightly with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Place the pan on a tava (griddle) over low heat and let it cook for about 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the rice to cook completely.
- Once done, remove the pan from heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before opening the lid.
- Garnish with fried onions and fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with raita or salan (spicy gravy).
