Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) lamb, cut English Simpal Recipes into cubes
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cut the lamb into bite-sized cubes.
- Finely chop the onion.
- Mince the garlic.
- Grate the ginger.
Sauté the Aromatics:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add the Hindi Simpal Recipes chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent and starts to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the Spices:
- Stir in the curry powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, and paprika. Cook the spices for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
Brown the Lamb:
- Add the lamb Marathi Simpale Recipes cubes to the pot and stir well to coat them with the spices and aromatics.
- Cook the lamb until it is browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the Tomatoes and Coconut Milk:
- Pour in the diced tomatoes (with their juice) and coconut milk.
- Stir to combine all the ingredients well.
- Season with salt to taste.
Simmer the Curry:
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the lamb is tender and the flavors have melded together.
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and burning.
Finish and Serve:
- Once the lamb is tender and the curry has thickened, taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
- Serve the lamb curry hot with rice or naan bread.
