Ingredients:

  • Boondi  English Simpal Recipes (fried chickpea flour balls) - 2 cups
  • Yogurt (curd) - 1 cup
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Asafoetida (hing) - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan or kadhai. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.Hindi Simpal Recipes

  2. In a bowl, take yogurt and whisk it well. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix everything properly.

  3. Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan and add water. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.

  4. Add the boondi into the curry and let it cook for another 5-7 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.

  5. Once the boondi has soaked up some of the curry and softened slightly, turn off the heat.
