  2. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Blanch the spinach in boiling water for about 1 minute, then drain and rinse with cold water. Squeeze out excess water and season with a little sesame oil and salt.
    • Blanch the bean sprouts in boiling water for about 2 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water. Season with a little sesame oil and salt.
    • Sauté the carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms separately in a bit of oil until tender. Season with a pinch of salt.
  3. Prepare the Beef:

    • In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, sugar, and black pepper. Add the beef slices and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
    • Sauté the marinated beef in a hot pan until cooked through.
  4. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the gochujang, sesame oil, sugar, water, vinegar, and sesame seeds. Adjust the sweetness or spiciness to taste.
  5. Fry the Eggs:

    • Fry the eggs sunny-side-up in a non-stick pan with a bit of oil.
  6. Assemble the Bibimbap:

    • In individual serving bowls, place a portion of rice at the bottom.
    • Arrange the vegetables, beef, and kimchi (if using) on top of the rice, each in their own section.
    • Place a fried egg in the center.
    • Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve the bibimbap with the gochujang sauce on the side. To eat, mix everything together thoroughly and enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can substitute or add any vegetables you like, such as bell peppers or daikon radish.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the beef and add more vegetables or tofu.
  • Adjust the level of gochujang to suit your spice preference.

Enjoy your homemade bibimbap!
