Ingredients:
- 1 cup split yellow moong dal (husked and washed)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon English Simpal Recipes ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil (for deep frying)
Instructions:
- Soak the moong dal in water for about 2 hours. Then, drain the water.
- In a mixing bowl, add the soaked moong dal, green chili, onion, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and grind it into a coarse paste without adding water. The mixture should be thick and grainy.
- Heat oil in a deep fryingEnglish Simpal Recipespan or kadai over medium heat.
- Take small portions of the moong dal mixture and drop them into the hot oil. Fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pakoras from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on a kitchen towel.
- Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.
- Serve the Moong Dal Pakoras hot with chutney or ketchup.
- Moong Dal Pakoras are perfect as a tea-time snack or as an appetizer. Enjoy them with a cup of hot tea or as a side dish with your meals.
