Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rajma (kidney beans), soaked overnight and boiled
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic-ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon Rajma chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped for garnishing
- Lemon juice, as per taste
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
- Add garlic-ginger paste and mix well. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, Rajma chaat masala, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix all the spices with the onion-tomato mixture.
- Add a little water and cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat to allow the flavors to blend together.
- Mash some of the boiled Rajma beans and add them to the pan. Mix well with the spice mixture and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a while.
- Transfer the Rajma chaat to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle lemon juice over it.
- Serve the Rajma chaat as a delicious and tangy snack.
