Chicken Cutlet

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  • Start by preparing the chicken breasts. Place them on a cutting board and slice them horizontally to create thinner pieces. You can also use a meat mallet to flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  • Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). This will add flavor to the chicken.
  • Set up a breading station. Take three shallow bowls or plates. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each chicken cutlet into the flour, coating both sides and shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the cutlet in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to both sides. Repeat this process for all the cutlets.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the breaded chicken cutlets into the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once the chicken cutlets are cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  • Serve the chicken cutlets hot with your choice of sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad. They can also be enjoyed in a sandwich or as part of a meal.

Enjoy your homemade chicken cutlets!
