Potato Poh Cutlet

Sure! Here's a recipe for Potato Poha Cutlet:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flattened rice (poha)
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the flattened rice (poha) under running water for a few seconds. Drain the water and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes to allow it to soften.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, and coriander leaves.
  3. Squeeze out any excess water from the softened poha and add it to the potato mixture. Mix everything well to form a uniform mixture.
  4. Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round cutlets or patties.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the cutlets in the pan and shallow fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  7. Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Serve the Potato Poha Cutlets hot with ketchup or mint chutney as a delicious snack or appetizer.

Enjoy your Potato Poha Cutlets!
