Imli ka sorbet recipe



Sure! Here's a simple recipe for Imli Ka Sorbet (Tamarind Sorbet): 

Ingredients:

- 1 cup tamarind pulp (soak tamarind in warm water and extract the pulp)

- 4 cups water

- 1 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)

- 1 teaspoon black salt

- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

- Mint leaves for garnish

- Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, add the tamarind pulp and water. Mix well and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the tamarind mixture cool down.

3. Once cooled, strain the tamarind mixture through a sieve to remove any fibers or seeds. Press the pulp against the sieve to extract all the liquid.

4. Pour the strained tamarind liquid into a pitcher or a jug.

5. Add sugar to the tamarind liquid and stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.

6. Now, add black salt and roasted cumin powder to the mixture. Mix everything together.

7. Place the pitcher or jug in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours to chill the sorbet.

8. Once chilled, take the pitcher out of the refrigerator and give the sorbet a good stir.

9. To serve, take glasses or bowls and add a few ice cubes to each.

10. Pour the chilled tamarind sorbet into the glasses or bowls.

11. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

12. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing Imli Ka Sorbet!

Note: You can adjust the sweetness and tanginess of the sorbet by adding more or less sugar and tamarind pulp, according to your taste preferences. You can also add a pinch of chaat masala for an extra flavor kick if desired.
