Bread Kachori

Certainly! Here's a recipe for Bread Kachori:

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup green peas, boiled
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

For the batter:

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
  • Water as needed
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Trim the edges of the bread slices and cut each slice into halves diagonally to form triangles.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, boiled green peas, chopped onion, green chili, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well to form a stuffing mixture.
  3. Take a bread triangle and moisten it slightly with water. Place a spoonful of the stuffing mixture in the center of the bread triangle.
  4. Fold the bread triangle over the stuffing to form a pyramid-shaped kachori. Press the edges gently to seal the kachori. Repeat this process with the remaining bread slices and stuffing mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, prepare the batter by mixing all-purpose flour, water, and a pinch of salt. The batter should have a medium consistency.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai over medium heat.
  7. Dip each stuffed bread kachori into the prepared batter, ensuring it is coated evenly.
  8. Gently slide the coated kachori into the hot oil and deep fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  9. Remove the fried kachoris from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  10. Serve the Bread Kachoris hot with tamarind chutney or mint chutney.

Enjoy your delicious Bread Kachoris!
