English Simpal Recipes

Vatana Batatyachi Bhaji – Simple Maharashtrian Style

📋 Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 2 medium English Simpal Recipes (peeled & cubed)

  • Green peas – 1 cup (fresh or frozen)

  • Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)

  • Tomato – 1 medium (chopped)

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp

  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

  • Asafoetida (hing) – a pinch

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)

  • Goda masala or Garam masala – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Oil – 2 tbsp

  • Water – as needed

  • Fresh coriander leaves – for garnish


👩‍🍳 Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add Hindi Simpal Recipes mustard seeds and let them splutter.

  2. Add hing, then chopped onion. Sauté until light golden.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute.

  4. Add chopped tomato, turmeric, red chili powder, and goda masala. Cook until oil separates.

  5. Add diced potatoes and mix well with the masala.

  6. Add green peas and Marathi Simpale Recipes around 1 cup water. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.

  7. Add salt to taste and adjust the consistency — keep it dry or slightly gravy-style.

  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.


🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve hot with chapati, roti, bhakri, or plain rice.
