English Simpal Recipes |
Ingredients:
For the Dough:

All-purpose flour (Maida) – 1 cup
-
Semolina (Rava/Sooji) – 2 tablespoons
-
A pinch of salt
-
Ghee or oil – 2 tablespoons (for moyan or shortening)
-
Water – for kneading
For the paste (between layers):
-
Ghee – 2 tablespoons
-
Cornflour English Simpal Recipes or all-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon
For frying:
-
Oil or ghee – for deep frying
For dusting:
-
Powdered sugar – ½ cup
-
Cardamom powder – ¼ teaspoon (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Make the dough:
-
In a bowl, mix flour, semolina, salt, and ghee/oil.

Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough.
-
Cover and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
2. Prepare the paste (for layers):
-
Mix ghee and cornflour (or maida) into a smooth, thick paste.
3. Rolling and layering:
-
Divide the Hindi Simpal Recipes dough into 3–4 equal parts.
-
Roll each into thin puris (discs).
-
Spread the ghee-cornflour paste over the first puri.
-
Place the second puri on top, repeat the paste – continue with all puris.
-
Roll the stacked puris together into a log (like a Swiss roll).
-
Cut the log into small pieces.
-
Roll each piece gently into a small circle (don’t press too hard).
4. Deep fry:
-
Heat oil or ghee in a pan.
-
Fry chirotis on medium heat until they puff and turn golden & crisp.
-
Remove and drain excess oil on tissue paper.
5. Sweet finish:
-
While the chirotis Marathi Simpale Recipes are still warm, sprinkle powdered sugar and cardamom powder over them.

Serve warm or at room temperature.

Can also be served with warm milk and a drizzle of ghee for extra richness.
