Ingredients:
- 200 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon English Simpal Recipes turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, carom seeds, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing well to form a smooth, thick batter. The consistency should be such that it coats the paneer cubes well.
Heat the Oil:
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. To check if the oil is ready, drop a small amount of batter into the oil. If it rises to the surface and sizzles, the oil is ready.
