Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons English Simpal Recipes ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1-inch piece of cinnamon stick
- 2-3 cloves
- 2-3 green cardamom pods
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
Rinse and Soak the Rice:
- Wash the basmati rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in enough water for about 15-20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Sauteing Spices:
- Heat ghee in Hindi Simpal Recipes a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and bay leaf. Saute for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Adding Onions:
