Ingredients:
- 6-7 medium-sized apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup English Simpal Recipes granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 package of ready-made pie crust (or make your own if you prefer)
Instructions:
Prepare the Apples: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.Hindi Simpal Recipes
Mix the Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
Combine and Fill: Add the sugar mixture to the apples and toss until the apples are evenly coated.
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Fill the Pie: Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust-lined dish, spreading it evenly. Dot the top of the apples with the butter pieces.
Top the Pie: Place the second pie crust over the apples. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges to seal. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Bake: Place the pie on a baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool on a wire rack for at least 1-2 hours before serving. This allows the filling to set.
Serve: Serve slices of pie warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
