Hot blackcurrant and apple charlottes English Simpal Recipes

 

 English Simpal Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of white  English Simpal Recipes bread (crusts removed) 
  • 2 cups blackcurrants
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Butter, for greasing

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:

    • In a saucepan, combine the blackcurrants, diced apples, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
    • Cook the mixture Hindi Simpale Recipes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruits are soft and the sugar has dissolved. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Bread:

    • Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread until it's thin and pliable.
    • Grease the insides of 6 ramekins or small heatproof dishes with butter.
  3. Assemble the Charlottes:

    • Line each greased Marathi Simpale Recipes ramekin with a slice of flattened bread, making sure to press the bread firmly against the sides and bottom of the dish. 
    • Spoon the cooked blackcurrant and apple mixture into each bread-lined ramekin, filling them to the top.
  4. Top with Bread:

    • Place another slice of flattened bread on top of each ramekin to cover the fruit mixture completely.
  5. Bake:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Place the filled ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve:

    • Remove the hot blackcurrant and apple charlottes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
    • Carefully run a knife around the edges of each charlotte to loosen them from the ramekins, then invert them onto serving plates.
    • Serve hot, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
