English Simpal Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sorghum English Simpal Recipes flour (jowar flour)
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water, as needed
  • Oil or ghee for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine sorghum flour, grated coconut, chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add Hindi Simpale Recipes water and knead the mixture into a soft dough. The dough should be firm enough to hold its shape.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or tava over medium heat.
  4. Take a small portion of the dough and pat it into a circular shape directly onto the skillet. You can use your fingers or a wet cloth to flatten the dough evenly.
  5. Make small holes in the thalipith with your fingers to ensure even cooking.
  6. Drizzle a little oil or ghee around the edges of the thalipith and cook until the bottom side turns golden brown.
  7. Flip the thalipith and Marathi Simpale Recipes cook the other side until it is cooked through and crispy.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, adding more oil or ghee to the skillet as needed.
  9. Serve the hot thalipith with yogurt, chutney, or pickle of your choice.
