English Simpal Recipes |
Ingredients:
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sev English Simpal Recipes (crunchy Indian snack)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Red chili powder to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine wheat flour and chopped onions. Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Knead the flour Hindi Simpal Recipes mixture into a smooth dough using water as needed. Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add turmeric powder and chopped onions to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Add red chili powder according to your taste preference and mix well. Turn off the heat and let the onion mixture cool down.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Take one dough ball and roll it out into a small circle.
- Place a portion of the onion mixture in the center of the circle. Sprinkle Marathi Simpale Recipes some sev on top of the mixture.
- Bring the edges of the circle together and seal the stuffing inside. Flatten the stuffed dough ball gently.
- Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a paratha using a rolling pin. Make sure the stuffing doesn't come out.
- Heat a tawa (griddle) over medium heat. Place the rolled paratha on the tawa and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
- Brush some oil or ghee on both sides of the paratha while cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the paratha from the tawa and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any chutney of your choice.
