Make the Marinade:
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, mirin, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, grated pear, green onion, and sesame seeds.
Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Marinate the Beef:
Add the sliced beef to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but preferably overnight for the best flavor.
Cook the Bulgogi:
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
Add the marinated beef, onion slices, carrot, and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked and slightly caramelized, stirring occasionally.
Serve:
Serve the bulgogi hot with steamed rice and your favorite Korean side dishes (banchan), such as kimchi, pickled radish, and seasoned spinach.
Enjoy your homemade bulgogi!
