Veg Bread


 


Here is a simple and delicious recipe for homemade veg bread:

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (such as carrots, bell peppers, and onions)



Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

  2. Add the vegetable oil and lukewarm water, and mix until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  6. Punch down the dough and add the chopped vegetables, kneading them into the dough.

  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  8. Cover the pan with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for an additional 30 minutes.

  9. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
