Paneer Mithai Recipe

Sure! Here's a recipe for Paneer Mithai, a delicious Indian sweet made with cottage cheese (paneer):

Ingredients:

- 2 cups paneer, crumbled

- 1 cup condensed milk

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

- A pinch of saffron strands (optional)

- A few chopped nuts for garnishing (e.g., almonds, pistachios)

Instructions:

1. Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat and add crumbled paneer to it.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously to remove any moisture from the paneer.

2. Reduce the heat to low and add condensed milk to the pan. Mix well with the paneer and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the mixture thickens.

3. Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands (if using). Mix everything together and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.

4. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool down for a few minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a greased plate or tray to pour the mixture onto.

5. Once the mixture is slightly cooled, transfer it to the greased plate or tray. Spread it evenly and smooth the top using the back of a spoon or a spatula.

6. Garnish the top with chopped nuts, pressing them lightly into the mixture so that they stick.

7. Allow the Paneer Mithai to cool completely at room temperature. Then, cover it and refrigerate for a couple of hours or until it becomes firm.

8. Once firm, remove it from the refrigerator and cut it into desired shapes, such as squares or diamonds.

Your homemade Paneer Mithai is now ready to be served! It can be enjoyed as a sweet treat on its own or as a delightful addition to festive occasions and celebrations. Enjoy!
