Here's a recipe for bread kachori in English:
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of bread
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon grated garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Trim the edges of the bread slices and flatten them using a rolling pin.
- In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they crackle, add grated ginger and garlic and sauté for a minute.
- Add green peas and mashed potatoes to the pan and mix well.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt to taste. Mix everything together and cook for 5 minutes.
- Take off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
- Take a bread slice and place 2 tablespoons of the potato-peas mixture in the center.
- Fold the bread to make a ball and seal the edges properly.
- Repeat this process for all the bread slices.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the bread kachoris until they turn golden brown.
- Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
